After being saved from a terrible abandonment, Moet, a blind Persian cat, rose to fame online. When the cat was 6 years old, Emily Shotter adopted him after discovering him in a shelter for animals in Oman in 2014.

He didn’t hesitate to take him home to give him a lifelong home after seeing him and hearing his tragic story.

Moet, who sadly had been born in an illegal breeder and had been abandoned and neglected at a pet shop, had lost his sight.

The cat became ill and lost his sight because he was kept in a filthy cage with no access to food, water, a bed, or toys.

Moet’s life changed for the better once he met Emily, therefore his depressing beginning in life could have had a joyful conclusion.

Bored Panda was informed by Emily:

“Moet is a feisty girl and a little bit of a diva. Although she is normally quite lovely, she squeals to attract attention when she is bored.

In order to preserve Moet’s life, the vets operating on the cat had to remove what was remained of his eyes. Six days after having surgery, Emily was able to see the Persian cat in person. She made the decision to bring the cat with her, and the two eventually settled down together.

For now, Moet will continue to use his fame on social media to help other animals change their lives, just as he was able to change his story.
