Ahmed Flaty is a student nurse at an Egyptian hospital. It has been difficult to manage the COVID-19 emergency and the lengthy 12-hour hours.

In preparation for his shift to restart, Ahmed was enjoying some sun near the hospital. He wasn’t expecting a homeless cat to approach him; it seemed as though the cat sensed his need right away.

The Dodo was informed by the young nurse:

“I was talking to a buddy of mine while seated outside the hospital where we spend our internship year when this adorable kitten approached me.

The kitten’s behavior was unusual for Egypt, according to Ahmed.

He adds up:

“In Egypt, stray animals are typically treated horribly. This makes it quite odd for a dog or cat to approach a human in this manner, especially if there was no food involved.”

The nurse didn’t move while the kitten was on his lap, and after around twenty minutes of snuggling, the cat decided his job was done and left.

Ahmed quickly started working his shift at the hospital after deciding that having the animal around was quite pleasant. Even though he had put in 20 days of nonstop 12-hour shift work, the interaction with the cat was quite uplifting.
