Tony is a geologist who occasionally needs to go on the field. He recently was conducting research in a remote area of Pennsylvania when he came found a hairy small creature that would permanently alter his life.
For a few minutes, he had been listening to a weird meow, but he couldn’t place its source. Then, as if he had known him his entire life, a black kitten dashed full speed in his direction and leaped on his shoulder.
“There was a little black-furred man there. I couldn’t help but smile as he approached me as quickly as his small, frail legs would allow,” Tony added.
The kitty was positive that Tony would become his new ideal person for some reason. He softly sat on Tony’s shoulder and stroked Tony’s beard as he cuddled him.
The geologist didn’t want to leave the kitten alone in the wilderness even though he was aware that there were no homes in the surrounding region. Though he wasn’t sure whether he wanted a pet, he brought it to his lab for a few days to make sure nothing untoward occurred to his new companion.
Tony continued, “I set up a tiny bed for him and gave him a cushion to lie on a chair.
The kitten appeared to be very at ease there. He would meow frantically until he discovered Tony every time he woke up from a nap. He went shopping to get her some cat food and a few toys.
I am unable to move without him trailing after me. It’s my shadow, Tony said in jest.
He fell head over heels in love with the adorable cat before he realized it, so he immediately began thinking of names for his new pet.
Although I prefer to think of myself as a strong person, Tony “stole my heart.”
