Rory’s mother stepped into the room one day and spotted Rory hanging out on the floor — and nearly passed.
She was terrified by what she believed she saw…
… but immediately understood it was only a trick of the light.
Rory was lying on the floor, one of his paws tucked beneath him, and a dog toy lay precisely next to where his paw would have been. At first sight, the toy appeared to be Rory’s detached paw, and his mother was overjoyed when she learned it was only a trick of the mind.
Despite his mother’s initial surprise, Rory did not even flinch. He was unmoved and had no idea what his mother was so concerned about.
Fortunately, Rory and his paw are unharmed. It was all a trick of the mind, and just another shenanigan in which Rory had found himself.
