When a guy in Indiana saw Roo living outside near his house, he immediately noticed her twisted front legs – but Roo didn’t appear to notice anything unusual about her. To help, the guy constructed a ramp leading up to his porch so that Roo could stop by for food and care. As he prepared to leave, the guy phoned the Official Humane Association of Clark County about his friend Roo.
“He was scared the new renters wouldn’t take care of her,” Peggy Campbell-Rensel of the Official Humane Association of Clark County told The Dodo.
The shelter agreed to let Roo and her kitten in, and instantly fell in love with her. They weren’t sure how Roo managed to get around with her twisted front legs…
…until they saw her jump, roll, and stand on her rear legs like a small person.
Roo knows precisely how to get around because it’s all she’s ever known, and while everyone else finds her methods amusing, it’s simply a regular part of life for Roo.
“She has no idea she has any problems,” Campbell-Rensel added.
Her standing position is adorable and fits her charming nature well. Everyone at the shelter has enjoyed getting to know Roo and lavishing her with affection, but they also hope to find her the ideal home as soon as possible.
Roo has arrived to the shelter and is seeking for a permanent home. She need a family that knows her peculiarities and can support her if she ever requires further assistance, but for the most part, she simply requires a lot of love.
Roo doesn’t seem to notice that she’s different from other cats, and everyone is hopeful that she’ll find a family who views her in the same way.
