Animal abuse is unfortunately becoming more and more common. These helpless living things, whether or not they have a home, are subjected to many injustices, mistreatments, and other conditions that put their life in jeopardy. But the animals’ resilience is unshakeable, and they demonstrate to us that no matter what happens to them, they will always make an effort to survive and remain cheerful despite all of their pain.
Tommy the kitty, who resided in the risky streets of Antelope Valley, California, and visited one of his neighbors’ backyards daily in quest of some food, at least lately experienced this.
Tommy was covered with terrible burns. It appears that someone intentionally killed the unfortunate animal by throwing acid at it. He was hurried to a nearby veterinarian by his family, who were saddened by his misery. However, the vet turned them away because of the severity of his condition and the fact that he had tested positive for the feline immunodeficiency virus.
The family sought assistance from the Milo Shrine because they were not prepared to give up. The sanctuary made the decision to provide Tommy with all the required assistance right away after learning about his tragic past.
Tommy remained calm during the uncomfortable procedure and appreciative that someone was now genuinely interested in him.
I spent a lot of nights in the bathroom with him after I got him home to make sure he wasn’t in any discomfort or terrified. Despite all of his wounds, hospital stays, surgeries, and healing period, he never stopped purring and loving humans, according to Michele Hoffman, president of the Milo Shrine.
Due to the severity of his situation, Tommy was made a permanent member of the sanctuary where he lives peacefully with people who care about him, unaware that he is unique from the other cats.
He enjoys socializing with friends and being in the open. Everyone adores him, and he is aware of photo opportunities. Tommy will do virtually anything for some tuna flakes, and that’s the secret to the beautiful images of him, Hoffman said.
