Maisy is barely 6 months old and brimming with kitten enthusiasm. She spends much of her days pondering what mischief she might get herself into next, and her mother isn’t always able to keep up with the naughty kitty and her antics.

“She has a really curious nature,” Maisy’s mother, Holly Clark, told The Dodo. “She’s constantly getting into stuff she shouldn’t!” I have to be extra cautious, especially in the kitchen, because she likes to go into the cabinets. She is always shredding toilet paper, picking [at] the carpet or the couch, and she enjoys playing with plastic bags.”

Recently, Clark painted a few rooms in the house, and thereafter, he took careful to cover the paint cans tightly to prevent Maisy from opening them. But she left her paint tray and brushes soaking in the laundry room sink before Clark went to bed, and of course Maisy found them.

When I got up to get ready for work, I spotted little white footprints in my hallway, which is how I first came upon her “artwork.” and I immediately thought, ‘Oh my God, no,’” Clark recalled.

“There were paw tracks everywhere,” Clark said. “Absolutely everywhere.” She had ran all the way to the front door, past all the bedrooms, through the lounge room and the wooden furniture in the lounge room, and the bathroom (my favorite piece of her paw painting).”

Maisy hadn’t missed a single corner of the house, and when her mother discovered her, curled up blissfully with paint all over her paws, she appeared very happy with herself. Maisy considers the task well done.

Fortunately, the paint had thinned enough after soaking in the sink, making it simple to remove off Maisy’s paws. To Maisy’s dismay, the remainder of the home was as simple to tidy up. She had put a lot of effort into creating her masterpieces, but it appears that her mother and she had completely different views on what art is.

Clark still adores Maisy above everything, despite the fact that she may be a little destructive at times. Going forward, Clark will be more cautious about where she places her paints because Maisy the artist is constantly looking for new ways to express her creativity.
