She was abandoned by her mother when she was around two and a half weeks old, according to Magdalena.

Little Mafia gained weight and strength within days of being saved, and she was prepared to meet the rest of the family’s furry members. Malaika always watched over her and took care of her.
The kitten received tender licks from the protective mother after each feeding. Mafia gave herself over without hesitation, receiving all the treatment and cuddling affectionately by her side.
The friendliest animal to have ever existed is Malaika. Every hatchling or rescue I bring home is loved by him, Magdalena said.
The foster mother remarked that Malaika’s passion with taking care of orphaned kittens started after the passing of a dog named Sushi, who was instrumental in the rescue of the kittens and served as a surrogate mother to them.
Malaika appeared and started consoling the rescued kittens almost right away after spending 18 years bringing love into the lives of everyone around him. Since then, she has evolved into the ideal foster mother for all the animal visitors.
It is very remarkable how open and selfless she is in caring for the kittens. Mafia arrived just in time for Magdalena, who does work that is just as lovely as that of Sushi one day. She has helped a lot of kittens in need of rescue survive.
