A little kitten with crooked front legs and bear ears arrived to Friends for Life Rescue Network in Los Angeles, California in early April hoping for a chance to find the ideal household.
“He was born with constricted ligaments and tendons in both front wrists, which caused his legs to twist.”
Mel Lamprey and her husband Zane are volunteers at the shelter, they concentrated on assisting the adorable feline they named ‘Quill’, who is a lover of hugs and sought the attention of her foster parents instantly.

Quill started physical treatment multiple times a day to fix his legs.
Jacqueline said:
“Her wrists are heated by a heating pad. They are then massaged and stretched to relax the tendons and ligaments in hopes of realigning the developing bones.”

Quill will be having weekly splints to further assist her range of motion, she is incredibly courageous in the face of these problems and doesn’t appear like she believes she’s any different.

Mel and Zane have an older cat named Chester, they took care of him from his rough beginnings, when Chester encountered the tiny girl, he instantly approached her and, like a good elder brother, keeps her clean and groomed, constantly attentive to her requirements.
Mel added:
“He strolled over and sat next to her like they were best buddies.”
The small ball of fur spends much of its time on Zane’s neck, it is without a doubt his favorite area. Sometimes he also likes playing and exploring like any kitty.

She’s daddy’s spoilt child, Mel said:
“She’s goofy, curious, kind and daddy’s daughter. She’s got it wrapped around her tiny fingers”
