Woman Adopts A Kitten And Realizes That It Is Completely Covered In Hearts

Katie Duda was grieving the loss of her cat Lucky when she came across a post at Wrenn Rescues with some cats in need of a home. Katie and her brother fell in love with a cat named River.

River was a bit shy at home when they moved in, and she was usually hiding, so Katie attempted to make her house a warm place with all the room she needed. River became more at ease with his new family as time went on, and his mother began to see more heart-shaped marks on his fur.

River is a nice dog with a loving nature that emerged after a period of time with his new family, when Katie saw that his fur was covered in hearts.

The lady explains:

“I confirmed [one] on his chest, saw that his nose was more heart-shaped than other cats’, then looked beneath his paws, chin, and elsewhere. So far, we’ve discovered seven entire hearts and two locations that appear to be glad at times.”

River is a lovely young guy who, while he likes his time with his friends, is constantly conscious of his younger brother Remi, whom he protects and keeps an eye on.

Katie recalls:

“Remi wanted to sit in a huge pot in our dining room yesterday.” Remi was irritated because she had put aluminum foil in the pot to keep the kittens from playing in the dirt. River generously removed Remi’s foil so she could lie down on the floor.”

River is a kind and quiet kitten, and the hearts on his fur are proof that his new mother made the right decision in bringing him home.

Katie is confident:

“My initial reaction was that River’s hearts were Lucky’s way of letting us know how much he cared for us.” River’s hearts aren’t a physical communication to my family, but the love they convey is.”

With River and Remi as new members, the family feels complete. River’s mother reminds him that he has a noble and kind nature and is constantly concerned about his family’s well-being.

Katy continued, ”

“He is composed, alert, and loving. With River and Remi by their sides, my children have been able to grieve and recover in a gentle manner. He had thought the kittens would bring us happiness, but instead they have provided us calm. River is repairing damaged hearts, clothed in hearts.”
