Guy Finds His Cat Making Friends With The Mouse He Was Supposed To Catch

Simon is a lovely cat that has discovered an odd method of getting rid of “pests” in his home.

He transforms them into visitors.

Simon’s owner, Benjamn Sagredo, began hearing weird noises emanating from his kitchen in the Chilean city of Punta Arenas a few weeks ago. Sagredo wasn’t too concerned because the sounds were faint and only happened on occasion.

“We had no idea what it was,” Sagredo said to The Dodo. “We saw Simon playing with something beneath an armchair once, but we didn’t think much of it.”

Simon had become aware of an intruder who had been making these noises, and he determined to make him feel welcome.

Sagredo came into an unexpected image one morning as he was preparing to enter the kitchen. Simon was drinking from his water dish. And there was a mouse right next to him.

The bighearted cat seems to have made friends with the animal he was obviously born to hunt.

“They appeared to be well acquainted. Simon was showing affection,” Sagredo explained. “I made the decision to record it. “I was afraid no one would believe me.”

Sagredo was taken aback. But, after witnessing Simon’s kind demeanor with the mouse, Sagredo couldn’t help but agree.

“I pity the small mouse.” “I couldn’t bear the thought of injuring him,” Sagredo stated. “I gave him the name Chefcito.”

Simon’s kindness was contagious.

Initially, Sagredo took Chefcito and transferred him outdoors, just in case he wanted to flee. Chefcito, on the other hand, clearly felt welcomed.

And he ought to.

“He’s been back a few times,” Sagredo explained. “We appreciate Simon’s acceptance of him.” He’s a friendly and loving cat. If Chefcito continues showing up, we’ll have to adopt him.”
