Cats Wouldn’t Stop Fighting Over Doll Bed — So They Each Got One

Ryoko Komine didn’t think it would be a big problem when she got a doll bed from Ikea for her four cats — until three of them fell in love with it right away.

“Because Snowball believes he is a person, he exclusively utilizes human furnishings,” Komine said to The Dodo.

The comfortable little bed, on the other hand, meant everything to Duke, Coco, and Mini, and their daily routine swiftly devolved into a war over who got to use the bed the most. They were continuously fighting over it, and their mother had no clue that such a simple object could cause such a disturbance.

Komine didn’t want her cats fighting all the time, but she also didn’t want to take away their favorite bed, so she ordered two additional similar Ikea doll beds for a total of three, one for each cat.

She thought it would be funny at first to push the three beds together…

… but that quickly devolved into a brawl for possession of the entire massive bed.

She couldn’t find enough different spots for the beds, so she decided to mount them to the wall, giving each cat its own individual room…

… and it was a complete success.

Duke, Coco, and Mini like hopping from bed to bed, and they now completely respect each other’s limits when it comes to claiming a bed. They each like having their own place, and their mother enjoys seeing them all happy and getting along.

“I believe they are pleased with their new placement,” Komine remarked.
