After surviving on the chilly streets, a cute kitten followed a cat from a house and determined to stay by her side; happily, the feline’s family let her into their home, and her life was forever transformed.

Alice McColl and her family had spotted a homeless cat loitering in their area for several days. As a result, they began to put food and water in their garden in case the sad cat wanted to return.

A few hours later, the cat reappeared, accompanied by two young kittens, to receive some food from the one in the garden.

When they saw the homeless cat with her babies, they decided to call a local rescue agency for assistance because they really needed them. However, while waiting for aid, just a little kitten returned, unexpectedly appearing alone, and her mother never returned to seek for her; it appeared to have abandoned.

Alice’s family continued to look after the small child, while her cat, Otley, stood back and watched what the homeless kitten was up to. He was curious, but he didn’t appear to mind the presence of the small girl; he clearly only wanted to keep a watch on her movements.

Otley went out one day to sunbathe and enjoy some fresh air, and it was at that time that he chose to befriend the feline. The tiny girl had clearly made the backyard her home, and she had also chosen to generate enough bravery to approach Otley.

She realized he was a good guy after sniffing him and proceeded to follow him around, as if she had discovered her elder brother. Otley, on the other hand, didn’t seem to mind having a new catchy buddy, and entered the home with the kitten trailing behind him.

Alice saw this endearing moment and discovered that they had developed a particular relationship and that the little girl had chosen her house as a home. The adorable kitten was soon cleaned and settled in, and then she had a lengthy session of embraces with her new family, she was overjoyed.

Her new family named her Birdie, and everyone began to enjoy her company; she appreciated all the attention and caresses she received. Since the arrival of tiny Birdie at the house, she has been Otley’s shadow, never parted from him, and has been his protégé.

Alice stated:

“She likes him and follows him around, and he appears to be content to have a pal to help him get through the days.”

It is clear that darling Birdie is overjoyed to have a nice home with enough of food, toys, and a lovely place to sleep.

Birdie and Otley like spending time together, especially by the window, where they can gaze out the window and share their mother’s bed. Otley assumed the position of big brother, always making sure she is well-dressed and running whenever she requires a hug.

Alice also stated:

“They eat, sleep, and play together and are really inseparable. They have an unshakable bond.”

Birdie was taken to the vet to be inspected and sterilized, ensuring that she is in excellent condition and that there is no cause for concern. Birdie eagerly rushed for Otley and snuggled up next to him when he returned from the vet, asking for attention; they both fell asleep embracing each other.

The two cats like each other and are frequently seen cuddling each other, as though Otley wishes to make her feel protected. Birdie has come a long way since the day she decided to join Otley; they are now family, and their relationship is extremely strong.

Alice’s family had no intention of getting another pet, but the cat made her way to them and everyone is happy today.
