Daisy Austin, an adoption coordinator at a West Hollywood veterinary hospital, encountered the lovely Marmie, a kitten whose sad eyes drew her attention at a South LA Animal Shelter adoption event two years ago.

Marmie grabbed the woman’s heart even though she had no intention of adopting another cat that day.

Daisy entered an area that was off limits to the public, and the cat came over to her, rubbing her face on her fingers and purred the entire time.

The cat was found on the streets and was in bad shape when it arrived at the shelter. She weighed just 4.5 pounds, was filthy, had minor sores on her face, and was suffering from a bad upper respiratory illness.

Daisy realized she had to move quickly to assist her since she only wanted to be loved, and she understood the shelter’s financial position.

“It was challenging because I had a 16-year-old cat at home, but I needed to act quickly.” He needed to give him another opportunity ».

The kitten was overjoyed and spent several hours cuddling her new mother, knowing she would be secure at Daisy’s side and would never have to live on the streets of Los Angeles again.

Marmie was thought to be around 10 years old when she was rescued, yet she always acted as if she was much younger.

Marmie was diagnosed with stomatitis (gum inflammation), Ehler-Danlos syndrome (a illness that affects the body’s connective tissues), and other chronic problems after testing positive for FIV (feline immunodeficiency virus) (such as the respiratory felines).

Despite everything, the sad-eyed cat has been a fighter, and she began to gain weight as a result of their love and care.

Daisy stated,

“His desire to live is unmatched. All of the physicians who examined her and heard her story were blown away.»

She’s developed into a lovely 11.5-pound cat that enjoys going on walks with her mother, sunning, and eating.

Daisy’s bodyguard, Marmie, follows her around everywhere. She snuggles up close to her every night and refuses to sleep anyplace else; she is appreciative and content.

Marmie is currently 12 years old, yet she retains her kind and joyful nature.
