Gianna Llewellyn and her boyfriend Rob had no idea that when they moved into an apartment in Brooklyn, New York, they’d be greeted by a charming duo of kitties that walked over to say “Hello.”

An orange tabby cat and a black cat approached the apartment window while they were putting furnishings in their new home. The two cats were keeping an eye on everything, but they appeared hungry, so Rob offered them some food, which they devoured practically instantly.

Gianna explained to The Dodo:

“After that, they continued returning every night.” They meowed, sat on the windowsill, and waited at the entrance.”

Miso and Suki, a couple of felines, approached the flat after a time with the goal of being let in.

The cats trusted Rob and Gianna, so they spent time in the home, napping in the yard, and sleeping on the window ledge at night.

Gianna remarked:

“While Miso (the orange cat) groomed Suki, they would perch on the ledge” (black cat). They were never far away. Even when we went outdoors, they followed us.”

Miso was the most friendly cat, meowing to be let into the home on a regular basis; it appeared that they wanted to be adopted.

Despite the cats’ frailty, Gianna observed something unusual in Suki, who had a larger tummy than Miso and was lying down.

Gianna continued:

“When we first met them, they were both fairly tiny. Suki was quite thin, yet her stomach appeared to be a little large. “She’s pregnant or she’s something worse,” we reasoned.

Gianna decided to take them to the vet, so she went to the pet store and got a couple of cardboard boxes.

Miso made a hole in the box so she could see everything Suki was doing, since it seemed the lovely couple despised being apart.

Gianna explained:

“From the cardboard boxes, they kept meowing at each other, making sure the other was okay.”

The suspicions were verified by the veterinarian. Suki was expecting her first child in a few weeks, and Miso was most likely the father.

Gianna sought assistance from the Little Wanderers NYC rescue facility. Miso was castrated and vaccinated at the facility where he was treated. Rob and Gianna formally adopted the two kitties and welcomed them into their house as foster parents.

That day, the two cats calmly snuggled up to rest after exploring the interior of the apartment one room at a time.

Suki was laying on a towel with four newborn kittens at her side when Rob and Gianna returned home one night. They believed they’d missed the main event, but the cat proceeded to give birth, giving birth to a total of seven kittens.

Miso was constantly scared, apprehensive, and verifying that everything was well throughout delivery; his presence calmed his future mother.

Gianna remarked:

“Miso would rush to her side whenever she called out for a contraction.” They’re the ideal pair.”

The kittens were well-cared for and breastfed by their mother, while the new father examined them and smelt them with interest.
