Cat Finds A Very Adventurous New Perch

Potato is just 7 months old, and her full-time job is to explore her new surroundings and get into mischief. Potato’s favorite thing to do is hang out with her brother, and they’re usually joined at the hip, but when he’s resting or otherwise engaged, she loves to climb and explore everything she can.
Potato’s mother, Haley Gates, told The Dodo, “she’s always finding places to crawl in.” “She dangles from the drapes [and] screens.”
Potato became bored while watching a horror movie with Gates and her fiancé and decided to explore inside the closet for a bit. Her mother assumed there wouldn’t be much trouble she could get up to in there, but she was obviously mistaken.
Potato noticed a row of empty hangers in the closet and instantly decided to make a new game out of them.
“[She] crawled from my luggage to my dresser to the hangers, and I grabbed my phone as quickly as I could to record her,” Gates explained.
Potato shimmied her way into the hangers, utilizing them as a sort of tunnel, and simply hung out there, dangling in midair. She looked to be stuck, yet she didn’t seem to consider herself stuck. Potato was well aware of what she was doing.
She stayed up there for a long until she hit a dead end and couldn’t keep crawling further, at which point she tumbled out of the hangers, putting a stop to her entertaining new game.
“She was in the hangers for maybe 10–15 minutes, but she was in my closet for at least 45 minutes,” Gates explained. “She spends a lot of time playing in the closet, but she’s never done it before!”
Potato is constantly seeking for new games and activities to participate in, and there’s little question that she’ll try out her new “crawl through the empty hangers” activity again soon.
