Vicki Mayo recognized Bailey as the feisty one among the kittens she rescued from a Texas shelter.

Mayo told The Dodo, “Bailey has always been quite interested.” “He was the one in the litter that would always find a way to slip out of bed when everyone else was sleeping.” He is very fearless. He’ll get right in the center of all of my large dogs and act as if he’s one of them.”

Mayo’s family decided they couldn’t part with Bailey when it came time to put the kittens up for adoption. They were going to become what rescue organizations affectionately refer to as a foster fail.

“My spouse was the one who grew connected.” Bailey would follow him around as though he were a friend.” Mayo stated. “Then, gradually but steadily, he crept into our room and began sleeping with us. Everything else is history.”

As Bailey became used to the Mayo home — and many Halloween costumes — he began to explore, and this is how he encountered the robotic vacuum.

The vacuum includes little side-spinning brushes that aid in the collection of dust and grime. Bailey grew obsessed with them in the manner that only a little kitten can. “He was catching them with his paw,” Mayo explained.

Bailey was so determined to get those brushes that he bravely leaped on top of the robotic vacuum and began riding along. “I don’t think he noticed he was going across the floor because he was so preoccupied with grabbing those brushes,” Mayo added.

Bailey was hiding, leaping on the vacuum every time Mayo ran the robotic vacuum from that day forward, thinking today would be the day he caught those “evil side brushes,” she claimed.

That’s when things started to get stressful, not just for Bailey, who couldn’t seem to get the brushes to stop moving, but also for Mayo.

“He kept sitting on the power button, shutting off the vacuum,” Mayo explained. “When Bailey is in our room, I have to run the vacuum.” My house would never get cleaned if I ran it while he is here.”

Mayo said that she occasionally lets Bailey ride along on the vacuum. It’s a win-win situation since the kitten gets tired and the floor gets cleaned. The process is just a little slower than normal.
