Mother Cat Who Lost All Her Kittens Saves A Tiny Orphan’s Life

When a very ill newborn kitten was discovered all alone, he was sent to the Atlanta Humane Society (AHS), and no one knew if he would survive.
AHS foster mom hurried to the shelter to take the kitten in, but he appeared to require more than just human assistance.
So the worried workers came up with a plan.
They introduced the kitten to Ember, a mother cat who had just returned with a litter of kittens. Her kittens, on the other hand, were so unwell that they passed away one by one.
“She had lost all of her offspring, but not her motherly instinct,” Christina Hill, AHS’s head of marketing and communications, told The Dodo.
When Ember encountered the little, ailing kitten, there was no doubt that he would be adored.
“”They had an instant connection,” Hill added. “The grieving mother instantly warmed to the small cat, grooming, stroking, and nursing him.”
Flame was the name given to the kitten. Ember, his adopted mother, most likely saved his life.
The couple is currently in foster care. Within a month, they will both be available for adoption, either together or separately.
“”It would be just perfect if they could be adopted together,” Hill remarked. “They’d love it!” And two cats are always preferable than one.”
