Homeless Kitten Found On The Sidewalk Won’t Let His New Mom Go

A homeless kitten was discovered crying on the sidewalk; she was probably on her last breath. When two women walking by at the time noticed her, they sought to find her mother but found no evidence of her presence.
The women were at a loss for what to do with the tiny girl when a woman called Sharra Platt walked by, and upon discovering what had happened, she instantly claimed care for the poor animal. When she approaches, she realizes she is a scared and homeless tiny kitten.
When Sharra noticed the two anxious women on her way home from work, she didn’t hesitate to stop and help. She has already volunteered with Paws For Life K9 Rescue, so her initial idea upon seeing everything that happened was to turn her over to the foundation.
Sharra considered leaving her as a member of the family the day after taking her home with her. ‘Crenshaw,’ she called it after the street where she was discovered. She introduced her cautiously to her dogs, who showed a lot of interest in the small kitten; the woman felt they’d get along fine.
Crenshaw was rushed to the vet, and the young girl was well; nevertheless, when they returned home, they attempted to approach her with the two dogs.
Sharra stated:
“I knew dogs would like having her around.”
Both dogs in the home were rescued, an 8-year-old pit bull called Roxy and an exquisite Pomeranian named Kasey; both were attracted by Crenshaw’s presence, especially Roxy, who assumed the role of mother and took in the cat in an attempt to keep her safe.
This display of affection was just what the little cat needed, and she never parted ways with Roxy after that.
Sharra stated:
“Crenshaw enjoys getting on Roxy and sleeping with her […] Roxy is her favorite, I believe!”
Although she adored spending time with Kasey and the Lucky family cat, being close to Roxy and sleeping next to her was her ultimate safe haven. Without a doubt, the kitten was overjoyed to have found such a great home.
Sharra continued, saying:
“Roxy has entirely assumed the position of mother and does everything a mother dog would do with her puppies: control them, clean them, give them plenty of kisses, and snuggle up with them.”
Crenshaw has grown and stays very close to Roxy; she has formed a particular link with her beautiful and loving protector and likes playing and spending time with family. She won’t be alone any longer.
