Two little cats were sighted hanging around outside a neighborhood in Montreal, Canada; weeks later, only the little tabby stayed when he returned to the household who had fed him. To get the timid kitten off the streets, treats were used to entice him.

The family called Stefany, a volunteer at the Chatons Orphelins Montréal shelter. She took care of the little boy and moved him to Montreal; he was in poor health and quite timid.

Celine Crom, a Chatons Orphelins Montréal member, said:

“Alvin is his name. He was infested with fleas and ear mites, and he had worms in his stomach.”

Alvin was quite anxious when the vet was checking on him, and as soon as he got at his foster home, the kitten went into hiding to feel safe. He still didn’t feel comfortable in his new house, because the tiny one needed time and bravery to adjust to all of these changes.

Alvin’s new family did everything they could to make him feel at ease, giving him lengthy, gentle embracing sessions, enveloping him in a towel, and keeping him in their arms for short periods of time. He was also placed with other kittens, which is when one of the felines chose to take him in.

Celine is counted:

“He was shy, but if we wrapped our arms around him like a burrito, he would start purring. He was the sole survivor of his litter, having been born outside. All he wanted was to be safe and at ease.”

A few weeks after the shy kitten, Pippa, arrived, another kitten was discovered outside a house. When the owner of the establishment heard the cat’s scream, he decided to give her food in order to build her trust, and after three days, he was able to take it inside her house.

The kitten was filthy, starving, and had a terrible upper respiratory illness.

He sought assistance from the shelter as quickly as possible. Pippa was given veterinary treatment once she arrived. Treatment for her eyes and other ailments began, and the kitten was upright and showing personality in a short time thanks to the attention she got.

Pippa rapidly found her fun attitude, was inquisitive, and adored caresses. Her big, bright eyes constantly seemed to be in awe of something.

Celine remembers:

“She got more playful and learned to trust as soon as she met her people. It didn’t take her long to snuggle up next to us and purr.”

Everything was amazing the minute Alvin met Pippa. The kitten instantly approached her and followed her every move; she gradually lost her shyness and could always be found close to Pippa, playing, eating, or napping. He’s grown into a courageous kitty since meeting her.

Celine continues:

“Alvin follows Pippa wherever she goes and enjoys making fun of her in order to play with him. They have a strong relationship and frequently sleep together.”

The two felines look after and cherish one other, and they always find time to spend together. Meeting Pippa made Alvin a safer cat, and he is no longer scared to explore; he even admires her so much that he is always attempting to imitate her.

Celine guarantees:

“Despite the fact that they are not from the same litter, they are incredibly close. Both kittens were rescued from the wild and are now seeking for a permanent home.”
