Recently, Michael Schneider, a pilot, prepped his aircraft for one of the finest journeys of his career, carrying more than 50 rescued cats. Michael created Pilots to the Rescue in 2015 as a non-profit organization dedicated to assisting thousands of animals in need.
People claims that Michael founded the group to unite his two biggest loves, flying and animal rescue. He personally pilots a large portion of the current rescue flights, and volunteer pilots fly a large portion of his Pilots to the Rescue missions.
Typically, they remove animals from shelters where they would otherwise be put to death due to overcrowding.

Michael recently completed an amazing trip with 51 feline passengers. He took a plane from New Jersey to North Carolina in the United States, where he collected several cats from Carolina Cat Rescue.

Michael was welcomed by volunteers from the North Carolina Rescue Center, who gave him the 51 rescued animals. Before being rescued by Carolina Cat Rescue, the majority of the kittens struggled mightily in the streets.

After carefully loading the 51 kittens from North Carolina onto the aircraft, Michael took off for Connecticut. Everyone hoped that the felines would have a fantastic chance at life now that their challenging beginning was behind them.
The kitties were welcomed by volunteers from numerous New England shelters as they landed in Connecticut. Until they find a permanent home, the kittens will stay in the care of these foster families.

Michael and Pilots to the Rescue helped save Carolina Cat Rescue and New England shelters by getting the kittens to safety within hours. It would cost a lot of money and materials for shelters to transport the cats on this journey.
