Bell was rescued from the streets when she was a kitten. She had fleas, pink eye, and cat flu when she was rescued, but she healed fast with the support of her new family. They adored her above everything else, and she has returned their affection every day since.
“She was always cheerful, purrs quite loudly,” Bell’s mother, Aurora Brooks, told The Dodo. “She’s wary of strangers, yet she enjoys cuddling when no one is around.”
Brooks brought home a new baby sister for Bell and her cat brother Hugo one day, and none of them was really enthusiastic at first.
“Bell and Hugo couldn’t care less when we brought the baby home,” Brooks explained. “They gave her a smell and that was the end of it.”
While neither cat seemed to recognize they had a new sibling, Bell quickly understood there was something to be happy about – all the interesting toys her new sister had brought with her.
When the baby came at home, her parents put up a slew of her toys…
… and Bell was quickly convinced that they were all for her, and she appeared perplexed whenever the baby tried to use them instead.
“I believe she enjoys the toys more than the baby, and she adores that play mat,” Brooks added.
After a long period of playing with the baby’s toys, Bell understood that all of the fantastic new toys were due to her baby sister…
… and eventually fell in love with the newest member of her family.
Not only does Bell now have a slew of new toys to play with (all of which were clearly intended for her in the first place), but she now has a baby sister whom she adores, and what could be better than that?
