When people first see Lotus, they can’t believe he’s not a wildcat.
Lotus’ mother, Lindstein, told The Dodo, “many people say he looks like a little lynx.” “Sometimes people believe he looks like a little lion.”

Lotus, with his long, flowing hair and massive paws, resembles both, although he is far more like to your favorite cat resting on the couch. He’s a Maine coon, an enormous house cat breed that may weigh more than 20 pounds as an adult.
Of course, Lotus is no exception.

Lotus, at 3 years old, weighs 22 pounds — and when he’s completely stretched out on the sofa, he’s a lot of cat. Surprisingly, Lotus is just slightly bigger than usual; some Maine coons have grown to weigh well over 30 pounds.

Lotus’ big size has forced his mother to make a few changes at home, most notably in his bathroom. Lotus does his business in an exceptionally big plastic storage container rather of a standard cat litter pan. Lotus, who is too enormous to fit in a cat carrier, travels in a large dog crate.

“Humans and even dogs frequently respond when they first encounter him,” Lindstein explained. “At first, many people believe he’s a dog… It’s a good thing he’s nice to everyone.”
Lotus, unlike other cats, enjoys putting on his harness and going on walks.

Lotus gets to visit many lovely places with his family, including his Maine coon sister Marion, because he resides in Sweden.
From hiking to simply sitting in the green garden, the couple seemed to enjoy exploring and spending time outside.

Lotus has thousands of cat-loving followers who can’t get enough of his fluffy body, thanks to his mom’s online sharing of his escapades.

Despite his magnificent escapades, Lotus also spends time relaxing and loving on his family at the end of the day.
Naturally, his purrs, snuggles, and kisses are all just supersized.
“He likes to sleep on the backrest of the home and in bed [with us],” Lindstein explained. “He is very kind, compassionate, and careful.” He adores his family and enjoys kissing. He frequently sleeps on his back, and he is quite calm!”
