Sergey and Yelena Baranov rescued a cat that was resting on top of the snow beneath their car. They attempted to pull him up first, but it was difficult because he was almost immobilized. After immersing its paws in a puddle, the cat’s paws were frozen.
The pair quickly tried to aid him by pouring hot water on the ice in Zlatoust, Siberia, when temperatures hit -35 degrees. The cat was on the verge of dying from hypothermia, but he was saved just in time.
Despite the fact that some cats loathe water, he was aware that the pair was attempting to get him out of the frozen puddle and stayed calm, allowing them to complete the arrest and escape the dangerous scenario alive.
According to The Siberian Times, Sergey said:
“He must have done it beneath the car at night, searching for a comfortable spot to sleep, and in the morning all his paws were frozen.”
After seven buckets of warm water, the couple was able to remove the cat from the ice, but his paws did not instantly regain movement due to the cold, so they wrapped him in a blanket and took him home to keep him warm.
The pair understood that forcing the cat out was not a smart idea since it may result in a fracture.
Sergey and Yelena summoned a veterinarian, who came out and administered an anti-inflammatory shot to the seven-month-old cat. He had already begun walking by the end of the day.
