Guard your toys, residents! A cat named Charlie was reportedly taking and playing with random items around their neighborhood, such as toy skateboards, rubber ducks, and plastic dinosaurs.

The owner, a 41-year-old Alice Bigge, had set up a shelf outside her home wherein her neighbors can reclaim their stuff that may have been taken home by the sneaky feline.

”Our cat Charlie likes taking things, do any of these things belong to you? If they do please help yourself!”, reads a sign that she put up next to the stolen loot.

According to the owner, she first realized something was up when she woke up next to a toy diplodocus, which she obviously did not own.

Most of the loot the cat took appeared to belong to her neighbor’s kids, but some were also clothespins, presumably from laundry that was hung up outside their backyards.

Charlie and his sister Smudge were recently adopted by Alice after they were abandoned. It was several months of them needing to get used to her household so they weren’t allowed to leave. But the second they were allowed was when Charlie apparently began his spree.

Several of the toy dinosaurs were apparently being taken from a kid’s nursery that was at the end of the street she lived in.

According to Good News Network, Alice told them that the cat seemed disinterested in the usual gifts of dead pests such as pigeons or mice, but was rather interested in random objects that he can find, even amongst the laundry and some kid’s nursery.

She said that regardless of it, she and her 11-year-old daughter Martha love both Charlie and his sister. She believed that the cat simply wanted to make them happy by bringing home gifts, and that shouldn’t be any reason to be mad at it.

In fact, it’s been a laughing matter in their town for a year now. Which certainly brings a smile to our faces.
