Nobody’s perfect, not even people who own cats. And there are many times in a cat owner’s life when they give them the wrong flavor of food or changed their litter type too fast. Eek!

Regardless of the nature of the oopsie, a Reddit user posed a question on the r/AskReddit subreddit and got some pretty varied answers, ranging from small to sort-of large, but not too large, thankfully.

Here are some of our favorites:

That poor bird must have been so scared. Oh well, a lesson on not forgetting to give your cats their meals on time

This one is sweeter

I, too, would love more cuddles in the early morning, don’t we all? Also props to this owner for not being mean to their pet over waking them up too early. After all, the animal kingdom does not recognize the weird system humans have called “capitalism” so they won’t have a clue!

This, unfortunately, also means that cats wouldn’t know the reason that humans can’t always afford to give them a full bowl of food.

Or that sometimes humans like to eat crazy processed food with chemicals that are supposed to be bad for us, so they can’t have those.

Sometimes, cats prefer for their owners to simply look at them, and not physically pet them.

So even a seemingly sweet gesture can lead to an annoyed feline. Whoops!

Careful when sneezing, folks! Cats can sometimes catch the same viruses we can. And additionally, they get scared of you and run.

Cats are very particular with their food tastes, so much so that their tastes can change every day! This can be annoying to both involved, sadly, but most people find a way.

Again with cats not recognizing weird human necessities like homework…

Or clean houses devoid of other living beings…

Sometimes their ways of protesting are so genius that we humans might want to take some notes on how to…well… ”piss” off someone in power.

No, they don’t believe in the science of a spoonful of sugar helping the medicine go down, either.

Sometimes all they want is to be petted, even when you’re asleep, somehow.

The comments were filled with even more of the funny ways people accidentally offended their cats. Overall a rated Meow/10 thread.
