Names can have an important influence on how we perceive ourselves as individuals.
Names have a significant impact on our identity and self-perception. Whether given at birth or chosen later in life, names can have cultural, familial, or personal significance that shapes our sense of self. Exploring the meanings and associations of our names can help us understand our personal stories and how we interact with the world around us. Our names can also influence how people perceive us and how we are treated in society. It is critical to understand the power and significance of names in shaping our identities and relationships with others.
However, having a unique name is not required. I’m sure it feels cool to have a name that no one else has, but it can also lead to bullying from other children. That is why parents should be cautious about giving their children names like Dobby or Sauron, even if they adore the characters. After all, children can be cruel, and bullying others over their names is more common than you realise. However, having the same name as a dog isn’t as big a deal as some people believe. Especially if the dog bears a human name. For example, my cat’s name is very similar to mine, and I chose that on purpose. However, it appears that some people prefer their special snowflake to be unique.

Names are an important step in shaping our personalities.
OP has had a dog for two years named Isabella that she adores and a cousin that she isn’t really close with.
The cousin also named her daughter Isabella and is now demanding that OP change her dog’s name.
The cousin wasn’t happy that her daughter shared the same name as a dog and said so to OP.
OP doesn’t want to change the name, as she named her dog two years prior, but the cousin has started spreading rumours about OP in the family.

I could understand the cousin’s point of view if OP named the dog after learning what the cousin planned to name her daughter. However, this is not the case, as OP has had their dog for much longer than the cousin has been pregnant. I think it’s ridiculous to force someone to change their pet name just so your child doesn’t have a name that sounds like a dog. Does she not realise that there are probably thousands of dogs out there named Bella?
Human Isabella sounds like a magnificent name.
I do think of Twilight when I hear Bella.
The dog was named way before the baby even existed.
I would love to know what the cousin’s name is.
I don’t like to call people crazy, but I’d have to agree with this one.

The best way to solve this little problem is.
Does nobody in the family know when the dog was adopted?
She does sound very dumb.
That would be quite funny.
Humanity really is doomed. I have no hope for the future.

It would be great revenge, and OP would get another dog, which is always a plus.
Does she really think no one has a dog named Bella?
Dogs are great, so I don’t know what the big deal is.
Entitled and stupid all in one.
Some people just love to cause drama for no reason.
