‘For a brief moment, he forgot he was old and dying’: Man Rescues a Confused 16-Year-Old Dog with Cancer So He Won’t Die Alone, and the Dog Is Immediately Revitalized

We all know that senior dogs get adopted less than puppies. Just like with any other older animal. And we understand why. They probably have a shorter life left to live than puppies, and that means that the heartbreak of losing your dog will come closer for you. But that doesn’t mean that these adorable, precious senior doggos do not deserve homes. All dogs are angels, and all dogs deserve love and a warm place to live, and who knows – maybe getting that love and warmth will help them actually enjoy those final years. 

That is exactly what happened here. This senior doggo was abandoned by his previous owners in an hour of need – sick with cancer, having trouble walking and hearing, and surrendered to a shelter. Abandoned, left to live out the rest of his life sad and confused. But thankfully, that’s not what his fate had in store for him, because he ended up meeting a man with an incredibly big heart.
