Lately we have been coming to the conclusion that the reason that we treat our delightful dogs the way we do nowadays is so that we have someone to look at who we know is living a higher quality of life than our own, even though it is thanks to our hard work that they are living that way. This only works because we know that even if we spent the money on ourselves instead of our canine children, we would not get to a similar standard of living anyway. So at least this way we can rest comfortably in the knowledge that someone is living life right.
