Disabled Cats ‘Hotwings and Mayhem’ Get the Royal Treatment in Loving Home

Mayhem arrived as a young kitten in her furever home for Christmas in December 2021. She would be the little sister of “Sir Harrington Hotwings,” an orange kitty with the same congenital disability, leaving their front legs underdeveloped. Although disabled, they are both happy kitties and have amazing lives touching thousands of people thanks to their rescuers.

Mayhem (formerly TRex and Pretzel) was also born with one underdeveloped eye. But she was a happy, playful kitten and had extra purrsonality. Everyone she met fell in love with her.

Here she is with her former foster Dad.

After a short time in foster care, she was off to Colorado and new life of Mayhem and mischief. 

“Christmas came early this year! Welcome my new baby sister Mayhem. She has wings just like me and has a super cool pirate eye! “

Immediately, Mayhem and Sir Harrington Hotwings hit in off, becoming best buddies in time to celebrate Christmas.

Mayhem and Hotwings Get the Royal Treatment

Recently, Mayhem celebrated her first birthday as a beloved “princess of chaos.”

“This little princess of chaos is 1 year old today!”

This is the life for Mayhem, who is truly loved and appreciated.

Mayhem’s bro Hotwings wore the crown for his birthday on May 21, 2020, and his “one year adoptiversary” in October.

Sir Harrington Hotwings is quite a charming character who, like his sister, almost didn’t make it.

Rescuer Chrissy Morris from Houston took in Hotwings (then Roo) in June 2019 and immediately fell in love. 

“Roo was rescued from euthanasia at a crowded shelter. Every day thousands of loveable animals are killed to make space. Without a foster this boy wouldn’t be with us today,” she shared.

“I’ve got a little Roo in my pouch” via Instagram.

He was very sweet and stood upright on his hind legs, like another famous rescue named Roo. Due to radial hypoplasia, cats are born with underdeveloped legs. Still, they can manage just fine, often hopping and standing upright. They just need a chance in a loving home and offer so much joy and funny moments.

“No one has suspected I’m a cat. Soon I will take over the world muahahaha,” she posted.

As loveable as Roo was, it was very hard to let go when he found his home in the Denver, Colorado, area through Animal Rescue of the Rockies.

“Roo Roo will be headed on to his forever home soon and I think this will be the hardest goodbye of my life,” his foster mom said back then. “He is the definition of special and I hope someone makes him famous,” she said.

In November 2019, Roo arrived home and became Sir Harrington Hotwings, the “magical tyrannosaurus-meercat with extra special abilities and hunky hot wings.” Everyone who had fallen in love online was thrilled to see they could follow his adventures on Instagram. Now, they can follow Mayhem and Hotwings for daily fun.
