A little tabby cat was delivered to Ashley Kelley, a volunteer with Wrenn Rescues, after being discovered abandoned on the streets of California. The kitten called Jurgen fought to survive for the first two weeks after being born with a cleft lip and a serious case of pneumonia.
Ashley wasn’t sure the young kid would survive, but with the help of medicines and misting, he began to recover. Soon, a cat with a cleft lip named Aela came up to the cat with the goal of soothing and cheering him up a little.
“For him, the oxygen made a significant and immediate improvement. He wiggled throughout mealtimes, his color improved, and his voice returned.

Jurgen was making quick progress; his purr was audible now, and he was eagerly anticipating meal. It was beautiful to see him “knead” with his paws.
Ashley explains:
I continued telling him about all the amazing things he had in store for him because I was so proud of him.

The kitten loved having its fur brushed with a brush that resembled its native tongue. The cat got stronger and started moving about more as the days passed and the medical procedures persisted.
Around two weeks old, he was able to stop using the oxygen and, gradually, the drugs as well. He then started living a normal life.

The kitten flourished as his body recovered; his hunger rose; he played; and he became more alert.
Ashley also said
While he was in critical condition, his growth halted for many days. She enjoys rubbing my face while purring on it. He cries out for me to come back and pay attention to him if I’m not actively loving him.
Before Jurgen was sent back to the shelter, another tiny lonesome child came at the woman’s hands. Jurgen appreciated the attention. Similar to Jurgen, the feline called Luca was found after his mother had abandoned him, and someone brought him to the shelter.

Despite being extremely small—Luca only weighed 95 grams—he was determined to succeed and ate incessantly. When the kittens finally met and were both in better shape, Luca knew he had found the best companion ever and started following him around.
