A cat was fed for weeks by a security officer at an industrial park who thought the unfortunate kitty was a stray. It was eventually determined that her residence was 60 miles distant.

In April 2018, Ruby, a 5-year-old black kitten from Brogborough, England, escaped away from her house.

It was assumed that she had gotten on a truck since he lived with his family close to a truck stop on a busy route. She was finally able to reconnect with her adored father Jordan Harvey two and a half years later, 60 miles away.

A security officer in Coventry had been feeding the adorable kitty for three weeks before to the emotional meeting on the assumption that she was “stray.” The kind guy ultimately made the choice to get in touch with Cats Protection, a foundation that promotes the welfare of cats.

His present position was to be reviewed by the organization’s volunteers first, but following further inspection it was discovered that he had a microchip. As a result, the company’s employees started to collect all the microchip’s data and discovered that it originated in Bedfordshire.

The location where the personal data chip was recovered was around 60 miles away from where the missing cat was discovered.

Volunteer Wendy Harris from Cats Protection told Bored Panda:

One of my volunteers, Lorraine Conroy, came out to check on the stray cat after Leighton Myers, a security guard at a nearby industrial estate, informed us about her.

The volunteer claimed to have accessed every bit of information in the microchip database, but the owner’s phone number was out of date, making it impossible to get in touch with them. So the volunteer wrote an email to the specified email, requesting the owner of the animal to speak promptly with the organization.

Additionally, they posted information about the missing cat’s position on their Facebook page. When they had no answer after a few days, they wrote a letter to the post.

She said:

Ruby wasn’t in such awful shape, which is odd because there aren’t any houses nearby; perhaps someone besides the guard had been feeding her.

The security guard had gone on vacation at the time, so a volunteer from the group went to the industrial park daily to feed Ruby.

In the event that Ruby received a response to the letter, volunteers from Bedfordshire Town Cat Protection offered to visit her home.

Wendy stated:

Because the cat had been missing since April 2018, when her owner first phoned me in response to the letter, he initially believed it to be a prank.

Lorraine returned to Ruby’s location and lured her in with food after he added that he would drive from Bedford to Coventry. The volunteer at the animal shelter phoned the cat’s owner after taking her under her care, and he or she departed right away to find the missing kitten.

She said:

“When Jordan showed up, Ruby approached him right away. She chose him because she was truly herself. This demonstrates how crucial it is to microchip her pets and maintain the data.
