It has been a year after the death of Gracie, a dog and Baby Grey’s dearest friend. She nevertheless arrives on time for her regular appointments. Every day, she makes her way around the patio and stops at the sliding door in the hopes that her companion will run to meet her there. She waits there for up to 20 minutes at a time.
Gracie’s mother, Shea Belew Brennaman, first observed the enigmatic cat in her yard two and a half years ago, and she and her family have referred to her as “Baby Grey” ever since. She may not live two blocks from her house, but they don’t know her true name.
The dog met Baby Gray right away when she first entered the fenced-in backyard of Gracie’s family, more eager to make friends than to ward off invaders.
Gracie was acquainted with every animal that lived on her land, from hawks to bunnies, so it goes without saying that she was quite curious to learn more about the most recent guest.
Shea stated to The Dodo:
“Gracie welcomed her into our yard right away, and the two quickly grew close.”
Baby Gray’s visits increased in frequency over time. When her companion unexpectedly arrived up, Gracie was always a kind host, and they seemed to be soul mates. Even food was shared.
Because tomatoes were Gracie’s favorite food, her family used to leave them on the porch where she would share them with the cat and then enjoy the sun.
When Shea was only an 8-month-old puppy, Gracie saved her from a water moccasin snake assault. She would sacrifice anything for her friends and family.
Her words:
“She had a lovely disposition. She was everyone’s buddy and showed a lot of maternal love, especially to our Yorkie.
