Joule is a very loving dog who despises being alone. She becomes concerned whenever her family is away, but fortunately she has the companionship of an unwavering buddy named Kelvin, who is in charge of calming her down as can be seen in a series of movies taken by a camera installed at home.
Four years ago, Brenna Eckert saved Joule. While Kelvin was adopted a short while after, this orange tabby kitten has always been known for being quite sociable.
Brenna said to The Dodo:
When we adopted Joule, she was really anxious. In order to help Bella with some of her challenges, we worked individually with a dog behaviorist.
Brenna remarked:
She’s unquestionably a Velcro dog. She needs to be close by whenever we are at home. Before we adopted them, the animal shelters had each them a temporary name. Socks was the name of Kelvin’s shelter, while Sandals was the name of Joule’s shelter. How funny that socks and sandals go so well together!
Brenna never envisioned the lovely bond that would develop between the two after they were adopted, but one day she decided to install some cameras to make sure everything was well while she was away and received a surprising surprise.
All day long, the cat comforts Joule in a loving manner.
Brenna remarked:
“We saw that virtually every day, Kelvin and Joule were resting on the couch. They weren’t just sharing the sofa; they were cuddling up to each other, which startled me when I shifted the camera to get a better look at the couch.
Brenna was affected by the films, so she chose to post them on social media along with the following message:
Every single weekday for the eight hours that we have been away, this has happened.
When Brenna is away, Kelvin misses her too, which makes Joule sad, but with Joule at his side, everything seems okay.
Brenna remarked:
“Kelvin has a really nice demeanor. They both cuddle up to Joule during the day since he enjoys sleeping and being warm.
The camera’s movies were able to show the adorable bond between these two small creatures since otherwise, everything would have remained a secret between them.
