In the middle of December, a little red-haired kitten was discovered in the garden of a home in Perth, Australia, weeping and pleading for assistance. They immediately got in touch with Tara, who is the founder of The Mad Catters, an organization in charge of cat rescue.

The kitten was around 4 to 5 days old when it was taken to the Tara rescue center. It appears that the kitten was abandoned because no sign of its mother or additional kittens were located during searches of the area.

The cat was really hungry and had a tremendous determination to survive, Tara said:

“He would cheerfully holler at me for his meal every two hours on the dot.”

Says Tara

He was instantly swallowing his formula like a pro despite only weighing 173 grams.

Cobain was an extremely spoiled child who insisted on being with someone at all times and would cry if left alone. In order to determine whether she could foster the kitten, Tara started hunting for a surrogate mother cat since she would be highly helpful to the kitten’s development.

Soon after being taken to the shelter, a pregnant cat called Cinque gave birth to a litter of five kittens two days later.
The mother cat and her kittens were transferred to Impound Feline Rescue, a nearby rescue facility, where they could grow their young in better circumstances and find a loving home immediately.

Cobain was sent to Cinque when the rescue center learnt of his presence in the hopes that she would embrace him as her mother.
