Rubbix is a little orange kitty that was born with crooked hind legs. The kitten can’t help but be excited to be able to walk and run on all fours for the first time in its life.

The cute kitten and his sister Boo were given to Chatons Orphelins Montréal, a Canadian animal sanctuary. The shelter volunteers’ objective was to be able to provide the kittens with the required care and to give them a second shot in life.

Unfortunately, Rubbix had a physical disability in his rear legs, but he possessed the spirit of a genuine warrior.

Celine Crom, a shelter member, stated:

“Rubbix’s hind legs were turned 180 degrees and moving in the opposite direction. He moved by utilizing his forelegs and his rear knees.”

Rubbix, although having this abnormality in his legs, did not detect any different from the other kittens and simply wanted to play.

The feline was always looking for attention and was eager to play, and whenever he noticed something moving, he attempted to pursue it with all his might.

Nothing could stop Rubbix from having fun, so the rescue center sent him to an orthopedic expert to improve his quality of life.

Following many examinations, the veterinarian concluded that surgery to repair his hind legs was the best option.

Celine stated:

“The sooner the procedure is performed, the more probable it is that favorable outcomes will be achieved.”

His physical problem increased with time owing to the tension on his tendons, therefore he needed to act quickly.

Celine also stated:

“We wanted to give him every chance to improve his quality of life so he could live the normal (pain-free) life he deserves.”

Surprisingly, 24 hours after the operation, tiny Rubbix was up, strolling around the room without assistance, and taking his first steps.

He was so happy to be able to walk like a regular kitty that he kept demonstrating it. Rubbix quickly sought to investigate every area of his house, wanting to roam around everywhere, and was overjoyed with his newfound mobility.

“His life has changed dramatically since his operation.”

Rubbix utilized external fixators during the next few weeks, and his legs mended well; it is truly remarkable to observe the feline’s improvement; he is quite a warrior.

Rubbix has turned into a highly mischievous cat, performing hundreds of stunts and never stopping running while playing. He has made friends with all of the resident cats in his foster home and enjoys playing and joking with them.

Celine also stated:

“Rubbix is a gentle, sensitive, and playful cat. He enjoys new experiences such as jumping and running. The little kid was fortunate to have surgery at such an early age and so received a second shot.”

The cute kitty is now 14 weeks old and on the verge of fully recovering from his medical issues.
