Davey is a sweet orange cat that was found abandoned and nearly dead on the side of a highway in Palm City, Florida. He was able to acquire the treatment he needed in a timely manner because to the kindness of a compassionate person who sent him to the non-profit group Caring Fields Felines.

“I just couldn’t say no,” said Pauline Glover, the animal rescue center’s director. According to Boredpanda, Davey was then transferred to Savanna Animal Hospital in Jensen Beach, Florida.

Because of his bad condition, an X-ray was done right away, revealing that one of his cervical vertebrae had shattered and needed to be cast.

Davey has progressed in a favorable way over the last three weeks, and he is becoming stronger.

He’ll begin physical therapy when the cast is removed, and then look for a family that will provide him with all of the love he requires.

During the day, Davey is supervised in the vet’s office, and at night, a veterinary technician is in charge of transporting him home.

Davey has formed a close bond with the vet’s pet, a three-year-old dog called Oakley, during his time at the rescue facility.
