Friendship in the animal kingdom does not distinguish between species. This is the account of Marina, a lovely cat and Laura the pig; who met when they came at the Interspecies Equality Sanctuary in Santiago de Chile after being rescued.

From the time they met, a friendship blossomed between them and now these pals are inseparable.

Marina came at the refuge after being abandoned by her mother, the kitten was unwell and very fragile, her eyes were coated with pus. Fortunately, she is small, she was found by a person who took her to the sanctuary where they claimed that if she had not been looked to, she might not have lived.

For Laura, her beginnings were not simple either, her mother belonged to a pig farm and a dreadful fate awaited the young pig, but she was rescued from the meat business by a group of animal rights activists.

The group carried her to the refuge, and the tiny pig was so afraid that she wouldn’t stop trembling.
